Tangerang Selatan, Olemah.com – Armed personnel from the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob), equipped with long-barreled rifles and bulletproof vests, were deployed to secure the site of an explosion on Jalan Talas 3, Pondok Cabe Ilir, Pamulang District, South Tangerang City, on Friday (September 12, 2025).
According to Olemah.com reporters on the ground, three Brimob officers were stationed at the entrance of the alley leading to houses affected by the blast.
While no fatalities were reported, the incident left seven people injured. Three victims remain in intensive care at the hospital, while four others have been discharged and allowed outpatient treatment.
“A total of around seven people were injured. Of these, three are still receiving intensive hospital care, while the other four have been released after medical treatment,” said an official at the scene.
Police spokesperson Victor confirmed that the situation at the site is under control and urged residents to stay away until the investigation is completed.
“The situation on the ground is under control. We urge residents not to approach the area until the investigation is finalized,” he said.
Authorities are still conducting a crime scene investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
